Take a closer look

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”

Albert Einstein

Meaning of life?... “To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one’s self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived—this is to have succeeded.”

“Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion thatthey are gods.”

Every way has a destination. Every photo has it's reason. This photo might be not the most creative one but it's one of mine. As the grass peaks in so does this photo peak into my album. Just a piece of advice: look around before you go too close to a railway, it might be dangerous !

Marguerite

Download original photo.

All the marguerites look the same. Why did i choose one from the others? Because they are all the same but they are all different, just like us, human beings. There are many photographers who take nearly the same photos but they are all different, just like this little flower. I keep searching for this "little" things which need a closer look, maybe with help of a good camera.

Butterfly

Some photos may be perfect some may be not, but it's just a matter of your perspective. I tried to take a great photo of a butterfly but instead i decided to focus on the flower and use the butterfly as magnificent background. Tried something different and i liked it, hope you do so either.

Green gives a great balance with...green. Maybe i should not fall so hardly in love with the macro option but sometimes it give a whole new perspective of such simple things like this walnutbranch. Took a walk across the river and could not resist to take a photo of the world as i see it.

Dandelion

One of my first photos with my new camera. Experimenting with macro and color balancing. Such a simple flower, but so meaningful for me. Before the photo i blew away all my attentions on other things and after it i blew the flower. Mesmerizing.

The cactus

Roses are beautiful but have stings, so does cactuses. Take a close look at this plant with help of a nice macro option. See the beauty in the beast, that lies behind the stings. Photos help to see the soul of such things.
